So I’ve been meaning to run Ubuntu on my Netbook ever since I purchased it but never really got around to doing it.
The other day I was surfing through my regular tech sites and ran across Ubuntus version of OS for Netbooks.
According to the site: “It includes a new consumer-friendly interface that allows users to quickly and easily get on-line and use their favourite applications. This interface is optimised for a retail sales environment. “
It is supposed to be a lightweight system specifically designed for netbooks with a fixed resolution of 1024×600, 512MB Ram and 4GB of space.
I just downloaded the 1 Gig Image file and all I need to do now is to copy this image onto a memory stick and see how smooth it runs.
